Children

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me..."

Matthew 19:14

On Sunday mornings, families attend the first part of our service together. Just before the sermon, we have a Children’s Prayer. At the end of that prayer, children 4 yrs – 5th grade are dismissed for Children’s Church. Currently, we are meeting all together, as one group, upstairs in the large children’s classroom, but we are working to divide this group into 4 yrs - 1st grade and 2nd - 5th grade.

Our Nursery serves those under 4 years old. Families can choose whether or not to worship together during the first part of the service. Some choose to drop off children under 4 when the older children are dismissed for Children’s Church. Parents are asked to keep any children who are experiencing a fever or similar symptoms associated with a cold or flu at home. Contact Kristy with any questions about our nursery.

We have a Children’s Ministry group through our app where we connect and share ideas and content. It is a closed group to protect the privacy of our children, only open to our families and volunteers.

On Sunday mornings from 9:30-9:45am, all are welcome to meet and pray specifically for the children and youth of Harbor and our surrounding community. Please let us know if there is a way we can pray for or encourage you more specifically and consider joining us. Contact Kristy for more information or to send prayer requests.

If you would like to volunteer with our Children's Ministry, in any capacity, please contact Kristy for the application and background check forms.

Harbor Kids Club

2nd- 5th Grade

Every other Sunday throughout the school year, our 2nd – 5th graders gather from 4:30-6pm at the church for a Bible lesson, food and games. We’d love to have your students join us!

things to note

Outside of Sunday

In addition to Sunday programs, we offer various opportunities for the children throughout the year. From Vacation Bible School, annual Christmas skits and Easter egg hunts, to gatherings of children/parents for playdates in the summer. Harbor’s Children’s Program is growing and provides a meaningful way for families to get connected, build relationships and share the love of Jesus with others.

Child Protection

Harbor Community Church is committed to protecting our kids and providing an environment that fosters growth. To that end, policies and procedures are in place to ensure the safety of the children who attend any of our programs. Please contact Kristy if you have questions or if you would like a copy of these policies.
